A taste of what you’ll do
The Regulatory Assistant supports the Regulatory function by assisting with regulatory research, monitoring, and administrative activities, helping the business understand and apply applicable laws and license conditions across multiple jurisdictions.
The role provides foundational exposure to gambling regulation, licensing processes, and regulatory frameworks, supporting the preparation of regulatory analysis and the delivery of advice to the business. The position works under close supervision of senior regulatory counsel, contributing to regulatory projects and activities while developing legal and regulatory expertise.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to build a career in regulatory law within a dynamic, multi-jurisdictional environment.
Responsibilities
Regulatory Research & Monitoring
- Monitor regulatory developments across multiple gambling jurisdictions
- Conduct legal research on applicable laws, license conditions, and regulatory frameworks
- Support the preparation of regulatory updates, summaries, and briefings
- Assist in tracking regulatory changes and maintaining internal records
Advisory & Analysis Support
- Assist in preparing draft regulatory notes, summaries, and internal communications
- Support responses to regulatory queries from internal stakeholders
- Assist in gathering and organizing information for regulatory analysis
- Support senior team members in assessing the impact of regulatory developments
Licensing & Regulatory Administration
- Assist with the preparation and collation of documentation for license applications and submissions
- Support regulatory reporting processes, including data collection and organisation
- Maintain regulatory registers, licenses, approvals, and related documentation
- Assist in preparing materials for regulatory communications and submissions
Regulatory Framework & Policy Support
- Assist in collating information to support the development of policies, standards, and frameworks
- Support preparation of regulatory input for areas such as AML, responsible gambling, and other regulatory topics
- Assist Compliance by supporting preparation of regulatory training materials and documentation
Governance & Collaboration
- Support regulatory input into internal reviews, audits, and projects where required
- Work collaboratively with Regulatory, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and operational teams
- Assist with coordination of regulatory activities across the business
Documentation & General
- Maintain accurate regulatory documentation, records, and internal registers
- Support the Regulatory function with administrative and coordination tasks
- Perform other duties reasonably aligned with the role
Who and what we are after
- Recently qualified lawyer with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent)
- 0–1 years’ experience in legal, regulatory, or compliance-related roles (or relevant internships)
- Interest in gambling, regulatory law, or other regulated industries
- Fluency in English is required, and another language (Danish, Finnish, Swedish) is desirable
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to manage tasks and prioritize effectively
- Professional, reliable, and able to work under supervision
